As a Penpal4Peace mentor, you will be given the opportunity to write to one of the many students in our chosen schools. This will allow them to build friendships, as well as open your eyes to their world.
We are very lucky to introduce the breakfast program to our schools! With donations received, we communicate with local vendors to provide many students with meals to start off their day right.
With the help from our donors, we aim to give back to these deserving children with new school supplies. This will enable a better environment as well as make their academic goals achievable!
I am Abdul Salam Al-Amri. I am 32 years old. I studied accounting, and I took courses in various fields, including software engineering. I traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for four years, then returned to Yemen after the civil war in 2015, and I wanted to open a mobile maintenance shop because it specializes in work, but after I saw educational conditions at a level parallel to zero, and that the children of martyrs and orphans do not receive education, because the state is not doing their job and at the same time they do not have the money to enter private schools with large financial costs, so I decided to open a school that helps educate the poor, orphans and people with special needs, with seats of 40%, in order to continue the school work from the salaries of teachers, cleaners, building rent, and so on. I started preparing a feasibility study for the school's work. I rented a building and started work in the establishment of the school and worked contracts with teachers and started work in 2017, and the school continued until 2019, I got married in 2019 and my wife is in charge of social welfare .. During my absence from work, here the school was facing a problem with material liquidity, so I thought that I refinanced it again. I postpone with various office and many other things, but my private life was deteriorated due to school funding .. I could not go to travel for treatment because of my lack of financial liquidity, the school continued well, but I did not prepare well due to illness
